From the Maracanã to Christ

From Corcovado, you see the Maracanã. From the Maracanã, Christ.

From the top, the stadium shows up between the forest and the city. And on a clear day, Corcovado can be seen from several spots in and around the stadium. They are about 5 km apart as the crow flies: you can do both on the same day.

  2. 2

    Head to Christ

About 9 km by car to the Corcovado Train station in Cosme Velho, or about 11 km to Paineiras, where the official van goes up to Christ. There is no parking at Paineiras: take a taxi or a ride-hailing app.

  3. 3

    Go up to Christ

On the Train, check-in closes 40 min before departure. At Paineiras, arrive 15 min before boarding.

We recommend at least 3 hours between the two times.

Frequently asked questions

Before you buy

What is included?

The 40 min to 1 h monitored tour through the eight areas: historical collection, scale models, Walk of Fame, mixed zone, dressing room, warm-up room, pitchside (with one of the substitutes' benches and the Maracanã Mais seats) and press conference room. Transport and food are not included; Tour parking is optional and can be added to your order.

How long does it take?

Usually 40 minutes to 1 hour. It is a monitored tour: you get directions at the entrance and go at your own pace, with staff along the way to introduce each area and answer questions.

What times are available?

Departures run every 30 minutes and the schedule changes by date. Times with spots appear in the next-times strip and in the checkout calendar. See the next times →

Can I book for today?

Yes, if there are spots left: sales for each departure close 90 minutes before the time.

Do I need to print the voucher?

Yes. The voucher arrives by e-mail and WhatsApp with a barcode. Print it and show it at the Gate A ticket office to collect your tickets before your tour time.

Why do you ask for a CPF or passport?

Because the ticket is issued in the buyer's name and document. Brazilians enter their CPF; international visitors enter their passport and pay by international card.

Who can get a half-price ticket?

It is a Brazilian-law benefit: students (student card and ID), children aged 3 to 11, people aged 60 and over, people with disabilities (State Law 4,240/2003) and teachers from Rio's municipal public schools. Each person shows their proof at the entrance.

Do children pay?

Children aged 3 to 11 pay half price, with ID. Up to age 2 entry is free under the Tour's policy, with ID — that admission is not sold here. If you are unsure, message us before buying.

What about match or event days?

The tour runs on reduced hours: the last visit ends hours before the gates open. If a match is rescheduled, some tour times have to be changed — in that case, message our team.

Can I eat or drink during the tour?

No. Food and drinks are not allowed on the route.

Can I take photos, bring a bag or a pet?

Photos are welcome, with a phone or camera, flash included; drones are not allowed. There are lockers for small and medium items (you leave an ID until you return the key); large suitcases don't fit. Pets up to 5 kg, carried in your arms throughout; guide dogs with proof.

What about accessibility?

People with disabilities are entitled to a half-price ticket under State Law 4,240/2003 — a companion, when needed, too. For access along the route, message our team before buying.

Who sells the ticket?

Sold and supported by The Singular Club. The ticket is issued in the Tour Maracanã sales system, in your name, and exchanged at the Gate A ticket office.

Can I combine it with Christ the Redeemer?

Yes. It is about 9 km by car to the Corcovado Train station and about 11 km to Paineiras. We recommend at least 3 hours between the two times. Plan the day with Christ →
